Job summary
Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Austin is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer (Systems Analyst VII) to modernize cloud platforms and automate AI-enabled deployments. This onsite role collaborates with the CTO team to deliver secure, scalable infrastructure and reliable services.
The ideal candidate brings 4+ years in cloud environments (AWS/Azure), IaC experience (Terraform/CloudFormation), and strong GitOps skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cloud engineering, AI, data engineering, cybersecurity, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with cloud environments like AWS or Azure.
- Experience with DevOps pipelines, platform automation, and secure deployment patterns for cloud-native and AI workloads.
Responsibilities
- Develops, maintains, and improves automated CI/CD and GitOps deployment processes using infrastructure-as-code templates and provisioning code.
- Designs and implements secure cloud-native platforms and container orchestration for web services, data products, and AI workloads.
- Troubleshoots deployment pipelines, cloud security policies, observability gaps, and AI workload hosting issues to ensure reliable, secure systems.
