The role focuses on hands-on cloud engineering, platform reliability, and architectural guidance across cloud, data, and AI use cases.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and system administrators, working from an HHSC office in Austin.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with AWS
• 8+ years experience with Python
• 8+ years of experience with Linux systems
• 4+ years experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL or similar

Responsibilities

• Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule.
• Manage SHARP AWS environment design, configuration, monitoring, and support.
• Support AI/advanced analytics solutions deployment and operations.
• Develop Python scripts for operations, data engineering, and automation.
• Act as backup admin for non-database platform components.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to formulate data management policies and standards.
• Resolve production incidents promptly to minimize downtime.
• Participate in meetings, report performance metrics, and support project management.
