Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure and AI Efficiency Engineer in Cupertino to lead data-driven planning for cloud resources, data centers, and hardware.

You will collaborate with engineering, finance, procure­ment, and supply chain teams to align strategies and deliver measurable value. You will own complex infrastructure insights, drive AI-enabled decision making, and focus on privacy, security, and scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in an engineering role with end-to-end ownership of complex initiatives.
• Research, architect and drive multi-technology solutions from prototype to production at scale.
• Write SQL hands-on with AI and understand schema design and query costs.
• Experience with containerization/orchestration for pod-based deployments.
• Curiosity about AI, foundation models, and AI-native workflows and how to apply them.
• Familiarity with GPUs, AI/ML systems, and LLM-powered workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build insights into cloud services including architecture, cost, and utilization.
• Work in hybrid/multi-cloud environments across private and public clouds.
• Translate complex infrastructure data into clear business metrics for strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to drive value for the infrastructure business.
• Prioritize privacy and data protection as core requirements.
• Use AI to deliver proactive, contextual insights for better architectural choices.
