Job summary

Zebra is seeking a Cloud AI Engineer, Lead to drive innovation across IT Platform Engineering, Cloud Security, and AI initiatives. You will design, build, and scale cloud-native AI platforms, lead PoCs, and mentor a high-performing team of cloud and AI engineers.

The role requires strong Google Gemini Enterprise expertise, multi-cloud experience, and hands-on automation with CI/CD pipelines. This hybrid position is based in Lincolnshire, IL or Holtsville, NY with on-site requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• 5+ years in an operations-style team (NOC/SOC/MOC) or equivalent.
• Hands-on Google Gemini Enterprise expertise with ADK.
• Multi-cloud and GenAI platform proficiency (GCP, Azure, OpenAI, Anthropic).
• Experience in global, heterogeneous cloud and on-prem environments.
• Knowledge of LLMs, RAG, MCP, tool calling, orchestration frameworks.
• Strong Python scripting for automation/CI/CD pipelines.
• RBAC, PII masking, and cloud security concepts.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities across Platform Engineering and Cloud Infrastructure.
• Translate technical findings into user stories and requirements.
• Lead PoCs and hands-on delivery for cloud/AI platform initiatives.
• Research disruptive technologies and provide strategic recommendations.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration across Zebra IT and product teams.
• Facilitate ideation workshops and promote modern engineering practices.
• Mentor cloud/AI engineers toward predictive analytics and data readiness.
• Ensure governance, security, and CI/CD integration with RBAC and PII masking.
