Job summary

Zebra Technologies Corporation is seeking a Cloud AI Engineer, Lead to drive cloud-native AI platforms, governance, and innovative solutions across IT Platform Engineering, Cloud Security, and AI initiatives. This hybrid role requires onsite presence three days per week at Lincolnshire, IL or Holtsville, NY, and leads a team of cloud/AI engineers.

The position emphasizes PoCs, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to security and RBAC in CI/CD pipelines, with a focus on GenAI and LLM

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years on an operations-style team (NOC/SOC/MOC) and supporting cloud-based infrastructure.
• Hands-on Google Gemini Enterprise experience with Agent Development Kit (ADK).
• Deep familiarity with GCP, Azure, OpenAI, Anthropic for GenAI platforms.
• Experience in global, heterogeneous cloud/on‑prem environments.
• Knowledge of LLMs, RAG, MCP, tool calling, orchestration frameworks.
• Proficient Python for automation; strong scripting background.
• Experience deploying containerized AI solutions with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD.
• Understanding of cloud security, RBAC, and PII masking integration into CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate innovation opportunities across Platform Engineering and Cloud Infrastructure.
• Translate technical findings into user stories, requirements, and concepts.
• Lead PoCs and hands-on delivery to validate cloud and platform innovations.
• Research disruptive tech and provide strategic recommendations for adoption.
• Act as IT Cloud Innovation Liaison across Zebra teams.
• Facilitate ideation workshops and foster collaborative problem-solving.
• Promote modern engineering practices and cloud-native methodologies.
• Track KPIs and report progress and business outcomes.
