Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Research Coordinator to oversee coordination of sponsored trials and related studies. You will guide physicians, staff, and investigators, acting as a protocol expert, and manage start-up, budgeting, IRB submissions, recruitment, and data capture.

You will mentor coordinators and help train the team. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in biology/health science/nursing and about 5 years in clinical research, with certification goals within one

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and regulatory guidelines.
• Experience conducting and managing a research study.
• Ability to mentor staff and prepare training plans.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sponsored clinical trials and related studies.
• Provide guidance to physicians and clinical staff.
• Act as subject matter expert for protocols.
• Coordinate start-up, budgets, IRB submissions, recruitment and enrollment.
• Serve as liaison between sponsor and investigators.
• Develop educational plans and training for staff.
• Ensure laboratory requirements for specimen handling.
• Mentor Research Coordinators and other personnel.
