Responsibilities

• Provide rotating, recurring 24/7 on-call support across all Denver Health entities, serving as subject matter expert on high-risk units and guiding complex risk decisions.
• Independently investigate significant occurrences and determine if they meet state or Joint Commission criteria, leading RCA and coordinating with leadership to implement improvements.
• Under direction of legal counsel, conduct early investigations into potentially compensable events, documenting timelines and coordinating with claims and carriers.
• Lead or participate in system-wide committees to strengthen risk prevention and patient safety, including ethics, drug diversion, and professional practice oversight.
