Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Senior Clinical Research Scientist to support scientific publication needs within the Electrophysiology business. Based in Irvine, CA, the role reports 2-3 days per week to the office and focuses on drafting manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and web content to disseminate clinical data.

The ideal candidate has strong scientific writing skills, 3+ years in cardiovascular/electrophysiology publications, and knowledge of regulatory publication

Qualifications

• Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced Degree preferred in Life Sciences, Physical Science, Nursing, Biological Science, or closely related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of direct involvement in clinical publications in a medical industry or related setting.
• 3+ years in cardiovascular and/or electrophysiology; familiarity with publication standards and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and podium presentations for peer-reviewed journals.
• Draft dissemination materials (summaries, graphic abstracts, standard presentations) for diverse audiences.
• Collaborate with Clinical, Biostatistics, Medical Affairs, and external authors to ensure accuracy.
• Interpret clinical data and present results with clear tables and figures.
• Adhere to GCP, publication guidelines, and company policies on data ethics.
• Coordinate reviews, obtain approvals, and support timely submissions.
• Monitor trends in cardiovascular/electrophysiology to inform content.
• Stay current with literature and share insights with global teams.
