Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Clinical Research Scientist to support scientific publication needs for the Electrophysiology business. Based in Irvine, CA, the role reports to CSER and involves drafting manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations for peer-reviewed publication and congress activities.

Ideal candidate has strong scientific writing experience in cardiovascular/electrophysiology, knowledge of guidelines and study design, and 3+ years of clinical publications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 3+ years of direct involvement in clinical publications in a medical industry or related setting.
• 6+ years of scientific writing experience in a medical industry or related setting desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and podium presentations for peer-reviewed journals and congresses.
• Draft evidence dissemination materials (summaries, graphic abstracts, presentations, newsletters, webpages).
• Collaborate with Clinical, Biostatistics, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and external authors to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Analyze and interpret clinical data; present results with clear tables and figures.
• Adhere to Good Publication Practice, ICMJE standards and company policies.
• Coordinate document review, obtain approvals, and ensure timely submissions.
• Stay updated on cardiovascular and electrophysiology trends to inform content development.
• Participate in monthly literature reviews and share insights with global teams.
• Support clinical booth congress activities and evidence gathering for cross-functional partners.
