Job summary

Stanford University seeks a Senior Clinical Research Manager to lead complex clinical studies across multiple sites, ensuring regulatory compliance, budget oversight, and high-quality data management. The role mentors clinical research staff and coordinates protocol development, governance, and participant recruitment.

Required are a Bachelor's degree with five years of clinical research experience; Master’s preferred, and strong knowledge of GCP, HIPAA, FDA regulations, and health care

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and five years of experience in clinical research, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Experience with health care economics, budgeting, and regulatory oversight is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Hire, orient, train, and conduct performance reviews for staff handling research administration activities in clinical trials.
• Oversee study protocol adherence and SOP implementation; educate staff on policies.
• Coordinate new protocol submissions to IRB for multi-site trials; manage renewals and reports.
• Audit operations to ensure regulatory compliance and drive corrective actions.
• Lead grant development and budgeting; liaison with sponsors and department accounting.
• Chair committees and engage in outreach and dissemination of findings.
• Analyze recruitment trends and advise on trial options; support data analysis and manuscripts.
