Job summary

The Childhood Research Obesity Prevention Lab within Stanford University’s Department of Pediatrics (Pediatric GI) is seeking a Senior Clinical Research Manager to provide leadership and oversight of complex clinical research projects. The role includes supervising research staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing budgets and sponsor payments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field and five years of experience in clinical research, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Hire, orient, train, and evaluate staff involved in clinical trials and research administration.
• Oversee study protocols, SOPs, and staff education on policies and procedures.
• Lead recruitment and retention strategies for participants in multi-site trials.
• Coordinate protocol submissions and renewals with IRB and regulatory agencies.
• Audit operations and ensure compliance with regulations; implement corrective actions.
• Lead grant development, budgeting, and fiscal oversight; liaise with sponsors and accounting.
• Engage in outreach and represent the program to internal and external audiences.
• Analyze recruitment trends and advise on trial options; support data analysis and manuscript prep.
