Job summary

Stanford University’s Childhood Research Obesity Prevention Lab seeks a Senior Clinical Research Manager to lead and oversee complex clinical studies across sites. You will supervise researchers, manage regulatory, budget, and quality processes, and mentor staff to ensure high-quality study execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and five years of experience in clinical research, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to supervise multiple staff across teams.
• Experience with HIPAA, FDA, IRB requirements and Good Clinical Practices.

Responsibilities

• Hire, orient, train, and conduct performance reviews for staff conducting clinical research.
• Oversee study protocols and operating procedures; educate staff on policies.
• Lead recruitment and retention strategies for long-term clinical trials and obtain consents for multi-site studies.
• Coordinate IRB submissions, renewals, and regulatory filings including INDs with FDA as needed.
• Audit operations to ensure regulatory compliance and implement corrective actions.
• Lead grant budgeting and sponsor liaison; manage financial resources for protocols.
• Chair committees and lead outreach to internal and external audiences.
• Analyze recruitment trends and advise on trial options; support data analysis and manuscript preparation.
