Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field and ability to obtain certification within one year of hire.
• Significant project and clinical trial management experience with regulatory and compliance responsibilities.
• In-depth knowledge of clinical research contracts, grants, protocols, FDA regulations, and complex visit structures.
• Experience using database software such as MS Access or FileMaker Pro.
• Strong financial analysis skills including budgets and projections.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the operational aspects of multiple clinical studies, including multicenter trials and local investigator-initiated studies.
• Lead and train staff; ensure IRB approvals, protocol compliance, and enrollment goals are met.
• Oversee contract generation, budget negotiation, and regulatory documentation with sponsors and CHR.
• Manage study files, audits, risk controls, and quality improvement processes.
• Provide leadership in administration, finance, and regulatory affairs across UCSF and partners.
