Job summary

Hillsides in Pasadena is seeking a Clinical Program Manager for Substance Use Disorder Services to supervise counselors and staff delivering evidence-based care for youth and young adults. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, documentation, and multidisciplinary teamwork.

The position reports to the program leadership and requires a Master’s degree, California BBS licensure, and 3+ years in SUD/behavioral health.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, or marriage/family therapy.
• Current license or registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) in good standing.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in delivering SUD or behavioral health treatment.
• Proficient with Welligent and Sage-PCNX documentation systems.
• Strong knowledge of DMC regulations, ASAM Criteria, and SAPC billing and documentation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision, leadership, and clinical support to counselors, care coordinators, and interns delivering SUD services to adolescents and young adults.
• Oversee on-site, virtual, and field-based services ensuring regulatory compliance and client-centered care.
• Collaborate with university faculty to supervise interns and staff toward certification requirements.
• Ensure timely, accurate documentation in Welligent and Sage-PCNX (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, authorizations).
• Monitor staff service hours and ensure alignment with SAPC minimum requirements.
• Conduct chart audits and support SAPC QA standards and audits.
• Provide clinical supervision, coaching, and performance evaluations; lead interdisciplinary meetings.
