Job summary

Methodist Hospital Metropolitan, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Clinical Laboratory Scientist III to perform complex laboratory testing and ensure accurate results. The role includes maintaining QC/QA, instrument upkeep, and coordinating special projects to support patient care at a top metropolitan facility.

Qualified candidates will have an Associate degree (Bachelor’s preferred) and at least 5 years in a microbiology clinical setting, with appropriate certifications.

Qualifications

• Associates degree (bachelor preferred) in a related field.
• Experience in microbiology or clinical laboratory settings is expected.

Responsibilities

• Performs specimen processing and testing independently to include moderate and high complexity testing.
• Evaluates need for new methods, instrumentation, and technology and informs management.
• Ensures compliance with accrediting agencies and acts as a resource to internal and external customers.
• Manages assigned projects with planning, coordinating resources, timelines, and progress reporting.
• Maintains and applies quality control, data documentation, and preventive maintenance as required.
