Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a qualified Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join a high-volume lab setting in the United States. You will perform routine and complex testing, monitor instrumentation, and ensure accurate reporting of results to support patient care.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a chemical/biological science, CLIA expertise, and at least four years of experience in clinical laboratory testing; ASCP or AMT certification preferred. Overtime flexibility is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Biological science or Medical Technology.
• 4+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.
