Job summary

West Tennessee Healthcare in Jackson, TN seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to perform and report laboratory tests in a prompt, accurate manner. This role requires a CLS degree and MT/CLS (ASCP) certification, with TN licensure to be obtained within six months of hire.

You will work under supervision, participate in instrument maintenance, quality control, and policy updates, and contribute to a positive lab team environment while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from a NACCLS approved program or equivalent.
• MT/CLS (ASCP) certification is required or must be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report routine and special lab tests in designated sections.
• Evaluate and report test results per procedures and ensure accuracy.
• Identify issues affecting test performance and take corrective action.
• Prepare reagents, QC materials, and calibrators; evaluate QC results.
