Job summary

Venice Family Clinic is seeking an Associate Medical Director - Clinical Informatics to lead health information technology initiatives and oversee EHR programs. The role blends clinical care with administrative leadership and requires Epic proficiency and CA licensure.

Responsibilities include collaborating with clinical and admin teams to implement interfaces, train staff on EMR usage, and ensure quality management across the EHR system. The position reports to the CMO.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Active, unrestricted CA license.
• Epic Builder Certification.
• Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Med/Peds.
• 5–10 years as a primary care physician.
• Minimum 5 years in leadership role in primary care.
• Knowledge of health informatics and EPIC/EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for health information technology.
• Collaborate with clinical, program, and administrative teams to identify interfaces and evaluate programs.
• Develop and deliver training on EMR and health IT used for patient care.
• Duties: ~60% clinical care, ~40% administrative/management supervision.
• Reports to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO).
