Job summary

Venice Family Clinic seeks an Associate Medical Director—Clinical Informatics to lead health information technology strategy and oversee the EHR system. You will partner with clinical, program and administrative teams to identify new interfaces and evaluate programs for improved care delivery.

Lead training initiatives with EMR trainers to ensure staff proficient use of health IT in direct patient care. Clinical care will be ~60% of duties with 40% administrative leadership, reporting to the CMO.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required and an active CA license.
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Med/Peds.
• 5–10 years of primary care physician experience and leadership roles.
• Experience with health informatics, EPIC/EHR, data systems and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for health information technology and EHR operations.
• Collaborate with clinical, program and administrative teams to identify interfaces and evaluate programs.
• Develop and implement training programs for EMR use by medical providers.
• Balance at least 60% clinical care with 40% administrative and supervisory duties.
