Job summary

Qualifications
- MD or DO or equivalent degree from an accredited medical school.
- At least five years of experience combining clinical practice with EHR use, clinical informatics, or ambulatory workflow improvement.
- Substantial hands-on experience with Epic clinical workflows and configuration.
- Ability to elicit clinical requirements and guide change adoption with physicians and leaders.
- Active, unrestricted Virginia medical licensure and clinical privileges eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care as assigned while maintaining licensure and privileges.
- Lead clinician engagement to identify documentation and workflow issues affecting EVMSMG.
- Mentor fellows and oversee practice‑based Epic workflow improvement projects.
- Coordinate with Sentara Epic teams on configuration, testing, and release readiness.
- Set priorities and supervise EVMSMG clinical informatics staff within the approved structure.
