Job summary

Cone Health is seeking three part-time Medical Directors for Clinical Informatics to support ambulatory, perioperative, and inpatient informatics initiatives. The roles will coordinate, analyze and integrate clinical processes using health information technology to improve patient care, quality and financial goals.

Applicants should be physician-licensed with board certification and at least three years in clinical informatics, including Epic Clinical Applications, plus strong change management

Qualifications

• Physician licensure and board certification per state requirements.
• Three years in clinical informatics and Epic Clinical Applications.
• Experience in a complex healthcare setting with regulatory knowledge (HITECH, HIPAA, CMS).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, integrate and analyze clinical processes across hospital systems using clinical information technology.
• Lead and participate in clinical design, workflows and governance to improve patient care and safety.
• Promote adoption of EMRs and collaborate with IT, nursing, analytics and quality teams.
