Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock seeks a Sr Clinical Dept Admin for Surgery, Urology & ENT to oversee day-to-day administrative operations and supervise staff. This role requires initiative, strong knowledge of health sciences center policies, and collaboration with executive leadership.

The position partners with the SOM central team on strategic planning, budgeting, quality programs, and service development, while ensuring regulatory compliance and optimal staffing,

Formación

• Master's degree in health care administration or a business-related area.
• Three years of progressively responsible administrative and supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of budgeting, accounting, recordkeeping, and business writing.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; discretion with confidential material.

Responsabilidades

• Direct personnel operations, including hiring, coaching, promotions, corrective action, policy compliance, time and attendance administration, and staff development.
• Lead strategic planning, marketing initiatives, and service development in collaboration with the School of Medicine central team.
• Establish quality and performance standards, oversee patient satisfaction initiatives, and support pay-for-performance and healthcare quality programs.
• Manage departmental operations, contracts, education, and research initiatives in partnership with the Executive Associate Dean.
• Promote fairness, confidentiality, and faculty engagement while supporting operational, educational, and research priorities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain appropriate staffing, equipment, and inventory levels.
• Develop strategic growth initiatives, address performance concerns, strengthen physician relationships, and identify business development opportunities.
• Oversee the utilization and continuous improvement of EMR systems in collaboration with SOM Clinical Transformation teams, clinical staff, and providers.
• Coordinate participation in government and commercial quality and value-based programs with SOM Quality Improvement, Clinical Transformation, Clinical Operations, and Finance and Planning teams.
