Job summary

H1 seeks a senior clinical data expert to lead strategy for data powering its platform. You will define acquisition priorities, model data to standard vocabularies, and ensure data quality across sources. Partner with engineering on ingestion and with product teams to tie data to product value and customer needs.

You will work with privacy/compliance and executive stakeholders, shaping the data roadmap and elevating clinical data opinions across the organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in clinical, healthcare, or life sciences data.
• Demonstrated expertise in at least two data domains (standards of care, drug lists, study start-up times, regulatory cycle times, CTMS data).
• Working knowledge of clinical and coding standards (OMOP, FHIR, HL7, ICD-10, CPT, NDC, LOINC, SNOMED) and data quality frameworks.
• Track record of defining data requirements and quality standards that engineering teams build against.
• Experience evaluating and working with external data vendors and partners.

Responsibilities

• Define the clinical data acquisition strategy: sources, priority, and make-or-buy decisions.
• Serve as subject matter expert on clinical data content and standards.
• Specify data model, normalization, and mapping to standard vocabularies; document business rules.
• Set data quality standards and acceptance criteria; review data against them.
• Partner with data engineering on ingestion requirements and source onboarding; ensure data quality outcomes.
• Evaluate and onboard data partners and vendors for coverage and provenance.
• Collaborate with product teams to align data sources with product value and customer use cases.
