Job summary

The Mount Sinai Health System seeks a Clinical Assistant II to provide clinical and administrative support to physicians and surgeons across campus and satellite offices. The role centers on coordinating patient care and mentoring less experienced staff in a high-volume practice.

You will act as a liaison among patients, families, providers, homecare and insurers, with potential travel between sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and a Medical Assistant certificate from an approved program.
• 5+ years of Medical Assistant experience in a busy practice preferred.
• BCLS certification required (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between physicians, patients, families, and insurers to ensure quality care.
• Coordinate daily activities of physician teams and multi-site operations.
• May travel to satellite sites to support provider needs.
• Assist in exams/procedures, take vital signs, and relay instructions to patients.
• Maintain patient records, order/receive records, and manage EMR-based information.
