Job summary

Michigan Medicine seeks a Clinical Information Analyst to mine and interpret data from inpatient and ambulatory settings, leveraging SQL and Power BI to measure care quality and costs. You will collaborate with analytics staff to translate clinical needs into actionable reporting and recommendations.

The role reports to the Manager of the Analytics and Informatics Team, with hybrid work options and a strong focus on data quality, governance, and cross-functional partnership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a health or quantitative field.
• At least 5 years of experience analyzing and interpreting process, clinical outcomes, and costs of care.
• Ability to reliably attend virtual meetings.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of data analytics, population health, and clinical information to complex assignments.
• Produce reports using data from multiple sources and integrated into disparate systems.
• Translate clinical and business needs into actionable deliverables.
• Evaluate performance, utilization, quality of care and patient safety measures against peer institutions.
• Collaborate with physicians, administrators, analysts, and developers on metrics to assess and improve performance.
