CHRISTUS Health in Corpus Christi, TX seeks a per diem front desk/ Registration staff to greet and direct patients, verify demographics and insurance, answer phones, schedule appointments, and collect payments. The role supports the clinic by assisting with referrals, cash handling, and maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and at least 3 years in a health care setting; knowledge of managed care is a plus.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience in a health care organization.
• Knowledge of managed care preferred.
• ICD9 and CPT coding (advanced skills) preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; good math knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Check-in patients and verify/update demographic and insurance information in the database.
• Answer phones, take messages, and assist with inquiries.
• Respond to requests for patient account corrections/maintenance (CBO).
• Schedule appointments per physician guidelines.
• Collect time-of-service payments and arrange payment plans as needed.
