Job summary

Cambridge Associates seeks a dynamic Business Development Director to drive lead generation and pipeline growth across the US Southeast. This role expands the firm’s institutional and private client reach, building strategic relationships with COIs and prospects.

You will lead cross-functional efforts with marketing, client solutions, and investment teams, tracking activity in CRM and reporting to leadership. A strong network in the region and travel flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 12+ years of business development experience in financial services, investment management, or related fields.
• Proven track record of lead generation, relationship management, and sales pipeline development.
• Deep understanding of institutional and private client segments, with established networks in the assigned region.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel within the region as needed.
• Bilingual, Spanish speaker a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Generation & Pipeline Development: identify, qualify, and develop new opportunities across endowments, foundations, pensions, private clients, and other institutional segments.
• Relationship Building: establish and nurture COI relationships and engage directly with prospects.
• Programmatic Sourcing: collaborate with firm networks and practice teams to identify contacts and opportunities.
• Strategic Outreach: represent the firm at events and execute targeted outreach campaigns with marketing.
• Collaboration & Reporting: work with client solutions, investment, and marketing teams; maintain CRM records and report progress.
