Job summary

K&L Gates is seeking a Sr. Client Billing Specialist to oversee end-to-end billing processes, proformas, invoices and e-billing submissions. The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality and collaboration with multiple internal teams across states.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent legal/ebilling experience.
Understanding of financial regulations and compliance.

Self-motivated with ability to work independently and contribute to team.

Responsibilities

Perform daily billing activities supporting attorneys, practice assistants, and clients.
Verify matters set up in the accounting system, including rates, AFAs, billing notes, and instructions.
Audit unbilled time and costs and reconcile invoices.
Maintain charts on invoices, rates, holdbacks, and budgets.
Manage e-billing submissions, updates, and rejections; ensure rates are current.
Follow write-off protocols and conduct monthly internal audits.
Monitor e-billed invoice status and assist with collections.
Respond to billing information requests and suggest corrections.
Serve as escalation point for billing issues and assist with training and reporting.
