Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs is seeking a Senior Clerk to support operations at the State Veterans’ Nursing Home. The role reports to the Nursing Supervisor and coordinates the admission process with the Admission Coordinator and nursing staff.

The incumbent will maintain medical records, manage schedules and transportation, and assist with documentation in the clinical record system. Applicants must meet background check requirements and attach credentials with the application.

Mansioni

• Initiates the Unit Admission Package and coordinates the admission process with Admission Coordinator and nursing staff.
• Assist in coordination, discharge/transfer of residents and record maintenance for a State Veterans’ Nursing Home.
• Maintain accurate active medical records for the unit.
• Report changes in appointment calendar and transportation for residents.
• Assist Health Information Specialist in Medical Record maintenance and filing.
• Perform duties at nursing unit station, including telephone, record keeping and filing.
• Operate the FDVA record keeping system; may serve as CNA if certified.
• Attend all required facility training.
