Job summary

Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) is seeking an experienced Term Contract Classification and Compensation Analyst to backfill the HR team during the Workday ERP/HCM implementation. The role focuses on classification, compensation structures, and supporting peak workloads.

Ideal candidates bring knowledge of classification and compensation principles, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with HRIS (preferably Workday) and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field.
• Four (4) years of HR work experience in the assigned program(s).
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted, totaling eight (8) years.
• Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR is desired.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct job classifications and evaluations using point factor evaluation systems and prepare written reports.
• Develop classification specifications/position descriptions and determine occupational series and FLSA designation.
• Analyze salary structures, exceptions, equity requests, and reclassifications.
• Participate in salary surveys and analyze market pricing.
• Assist with Workday implementation, testing and training as required.
• Interact with clients daily.
