Job summary

The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission is hiring two term-contract Senior Corporate Applications Analysts for the Department of Finance, Accounting Division to support Workday implementation readiness and backfill. Responsibilities include UAT, data validation, issue tracking, and documentation, with collaboration across Finance, Payroll, Procurement, and OCIO/E-IT.

Qualified candidates will have experience with Infor/Lawson ERP, Workday, UKG or similar systems, plus ERP

Job description

The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission is seeking to hire two term-contract Senior Corporate Applications Analysts for the Department of Finance, Accounting Division. These term contract positions provide targeted Workday implementation support and temporary operational backfill, enabling permanent Finance business applications staff to participate in training, design, configuration review, and knowledge-transfer activities. Primary responsibilities include implementation-readiness activities such as user acceptance testing, migration testing, data confirmation, reconciliation support, report validation, issue tracking, and documentation. These term contract positions will support implementation and continuity of operations but will not serve as long-term Workday functional owners.

1. Workday Testing and Readiness Support Assist with UAT, regression testing, migration testing, and validation of converted data. Execute assigned test scripts, document results, identify defects, and support retesting after corrections.
2. Data Validation and Issue Tracking Review and confirm data migrated from Infor/Lawson and related systems into Workday. Maintain validation logs, issue trackers, testing documentation, and supporting workpapers.
3. Backfill and Project Coordination Assist with routine ERP/business application support, report review, data analysis, documentation, and user support. Support Finance staff, Payroll, Procurement, Accounting, OCIO/E-IT, and project consultants as needed.

Working Conditions:

Office setting; primarily sedentary work requiring light physical effort. May require occasional overtime, after-hours, or weekend work during major testing, data conversion, or implementation periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Infor/Lawson ERP, Workday, UKG, or another enterprise financial, payroll, procurement, or HR system. Experience with ERP implementation, data conversion, UAT, report validation, reconciliation, issue tracking, or large data set review using Excel.

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems or any related field.
2. Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in business analysis or related experience that includes experience with functional software applications (e.g., enterprise financial, supply change management system, human resources information system), which includes configuration maintenance, troubleshooting training and end-user support
3. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted, which together total eight (8) years.
