Job summary

1X is seeking a Digital Design Engineer on the Softgoods team to turn industrial design intent into production-grade digital geometry using Autodesk Alias. Youll build Class-A surfaces for the soft covers, trims, foams, and textile-wrapped parts, ensuring compatibility with joints, sensors, and thermal paths.

You will collaborate with industrial designers and engineers, review against prototypes, and drive surface feasibility for manufacturability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional Class-A surface modeling experience.
• Proven track record shipping production surfaces in consumer products or similar high-finish industries.
• Portfolio showcasing surfacing work; on-site work in San Carlos

Responsibilities

• Own Class-A surface development for NEO's softgoods delivering G2/G3 continuity.
• Integrate surfaces with adjacent parts ensuring articulation and sensor clearance.
• Translate sketches and scan data into precise digital models for tooling.
• Drive manufacturing feasibility for molds, drafts, and wall thickness.
• Deliver clean digital data to engineering and tooling partners.
