Job summary

1X in San Carlos, CA is seeking a Senior Digital Design Engineer to own Class-A surface development for NEO's softgoods and touch-facing components. You’ll work in Alias to turn design intent into production-grade geometry, ensuring seamless integration with rigid and soft parts and alignment with joints, sensors, and service paths.

This is an on-site role. You will collaborate with industrial designers and engineers, define data pipelines between Alias and CAD, and set surfacing standards while

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional Class-A surface modeling experience.
• Portfolio with production surfaces for consumer products/high-finish industries.
• Able to work fully on-site in San Carlos.

Responsibilities

• Own Class-A surface development for NEO's softgoods and touch-facing components.
• Integrate every Class-A surface seamlessly and functionally with NEO: consistent gaps and full clearance for articulation, sensors and service access.
• Translate industrial design concepts, sketches, clay, and 3D scan data into precise digital models.
• Drive surface feasibility for manufacturing with draft, parting lines, shut-offs, wall thickness, and material behavior.
• Deliver clean, well-structured data to engineering, tooling partners, and vendors, owning handoff from Alias to CAD and lattice structures.
• Set digital surfacing standards with quality checks and workflows.
