The Jonus Group is seeking a Senior Claims Representative - Professional Liability for a fully remote, permanent position in the United States. The role focuses on managing MPL claims, both litigated and non-litigated, and requires strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years’ MPL claims experience, EPL/E&O exposure is a plus, and a Bachelor’s degree is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience handling professional liability claims.
• 2 years managing active MPL claims, litigated or non-litigated.
• At least 1 year of experience handling a litigated desk.
• EPL or E&O experience is highly desirable.

Senior Claims Representative - Professional Liability

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Claims Representative - Professional Liability to join a dynamic team. This is a full-time, 100% remote position, offering the opportunity to work with a rapidly growing organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing litigated and non-litigated claims of varying complexity under miscellaneous professional liability (MPL) coverages. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Compensation Package

• Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Manage an active desk of litigated and non-litigated claims under miscellaneous professional liability coverages.
• Evaluate coverage issues, identify risk transfer opportunities, and ensure adequate and timely reserves.
• Oversee litigation by selecting appropriate experts, planning, budgeting, and collaborating with defense counsel.
• Develop and implement resolution strategies, including settlement valuation and obtaining settlement authority.
• Actively participate in mediations and other claim resolution activities as needed.
• Maintain adjuster licenses and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Document claim files in accordance with established guidelines.
• Manage allocated loss adjustment expenses through strategic handling and coordination with the billing unit.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Occasionally travel to attend mediations, trainings, trials, or related meetings.

Qualifications/Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required.
• Industry designations such as AIC, SCLA, or CPCU are a plus.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience handling professional liability claims preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience managing active litigated and non-litigated claims under MPL.
• At least 1 year of experience handling a litigated desk.
• Experience as an Employment Practices Liability (EPL) attorney or handling Errors & Omissions (E&O) claims is highly desirable.
