Job summary

Old Republic BITCO is seeking a Claims Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the claims team in the Des Moines branch. You will supervise workflow, coach staff, and ensure claims are handled accurately and efficiently with adherence to timelines.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with occasional travel to other OR BITCO offices. Candidates should have extensive multi-line claims experience and strong leadership, communication, and regulatory compliance skills.

Qualifications

• Five or more years' experience handling multi-line Worker’s Compensation, Property, Auto, and General Liability commercial claims.
• Prior supervisory or management experience required.
• Knowledge of coverage, negotiation techniques and regulatory standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises the work of the claims team, ensuring quality, timely processing and adherence to timelines.
• Oversees workflows, coaching, development and performance evaluations for team members.
• Reviews and analyzes policy conditions, endorsements and reserves to manage exposure and settlements.
• Negotiates, settles and documents claims resolutions with claimants and insureds; ensures regulatory compliance.
