Old Republic BITCO in Des Moines, IA, is seeking a Claims Manager to lead the day-to-day claims team at the West Des Moines branch. The role emphasizes workflow oversight, coaching, timely handling of claims, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Five or more years' experience handling multi-line Worker’s Compensation, Property, Auto, and General Liability commercial claims.
• Prior supervisory or management experience.
• Knowledge of coverage, negligence principles, investigation, and negotiation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises the work of the assigned claims team, including quality, quantity and timeliness.
• Maintains current processes and procedures for the department.
• Provides training, coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.
• Supervises and participates in functions to meet needs of customers.
• Review, analyze and interpret policy conditions to resolve coverage and liability issues.
• Investigation of claims to evaluate coverage and obtain evidentiary materials.
