Old Republic Bitco is seeking a Sr Claims Specialist to join our hybrid Atlanta office. The role handles liability claims across multiple lines, including reviewing coverage, investigating facts, and negotiating settlements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in coverage review, investigations, administration, and settlements.
• Knowledge of coverage, negligence principles, investigation and negotiation techniques.
• Ability to obtain and maintain state adjusting licenses, as needed.
• Customer-focused with strong communication and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Review policy conditions, exclusions, and endorsements to resolve coverage and liability issues.
• Prepare reservation of rights letters, non-waiver agreements, and coverage statements.
• Review and evaluate claim reserves to reflect exposure.
• Investigate claims, gather statements and documentation.
• Provide documentation and reporting of investigations and handling activities.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and lawyers; provide settlement documents.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and coordinate with defense counsel and third parties.
• Travel between off-site locations as needed.
