Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in California workers' compensation claims handling.
• Experience with investigation, reserving, and negotiation tactics.
• CA licensure or ability to obtain state adjusting licenses.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel to other OR Bitco offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate claim reserves to reflect exposure and potential liability.
• Investigate claims, including gathering statements and evidence.
• Document and report investigation and claims handling activities.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and counsel; prepare resolution documents.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and jurisdictional rules.
• Direct defense counsel and third-party adjusters involved in a claim.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
