Job summary

MEM Insurance is seeking a seasoned Claims Consultant to provide technical leadership and oversight for our most complex, high-exposure claims. You will guide field staff, shape policies, and influence outcomes through strategic planning and expert case management.

In this role, you will mentor claims professionals, conduct audits, and collaborate with leadership on coverage disputes. You will influence training initiatives and strengthen claim practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• SCLA or CSRP designation preferred.
• Ten+ years of progressively responsible claims experience, including workers’ compensation and commercial liability.
• Experience leading complex litigation and high-exposure claims.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight and strategic direction on complex, high-exposure workers’ compensation claims.
• Conduct monthly Plan of Action (POA) meetings and claim reviews for high-exposure claims.
• Investigate and resolve complex coverage matters including no-coverage scenarios.
• Lead claims audits to evaluate quality and identify best practices.
• Coach and mentor claims professionals on coverage, adjudication, and litigation handling.
