Job summary

Amwins in Chicago, IL is seeking a Senior Claims Analyst to join our ASCS team. The role requires 5–10 years of workers’ compensation claims adjusting or claims management with higher exposure.

You will evaluate claim exposures, supervise third-party staff, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies. You will analyze coverage, review contracts, and collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, finance and compliance to resolve claims issues for brokers, agents and insureds.

Qualifications

• 5 - 10 years of workers’ compensation claims adjusting or claims management experience.
• Industry designations such as CPCU or Associate in Claims are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate claim exposures and calculate loss/expense reserves.
• Monitor and direct third-party claims staff handling workers compensation and liability claims.
• Analyze claims for determination of coverage.
• Ensure compliance with statutes, regulations, and company procedures.
• Provide technical advice to third party claims staff and other areas.
• Review program loss runs and claims data.
• Conduct claim audits and prepare audit reports.
• Review insurance contracts and terms.
• Communicate with brokers, agents, and insureds to resolve issues.
