Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Claims Analyst to handle complex bodily injury and property damage claims within Ryder’s self-administered liability program.

The role requires investigating and adjusting claims while coordinating defense counsel, adjusters, experts and vendors in the claims process. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 7+ years in casualty claims and hold state adjuster licenses or obtain them within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus 7+ years in casualty claims.
• Strong claim technical skills required.
• Adjuster licenses are required for various States; licensing within 90 days is expected.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and adjusts claims, and directs outside defense counsel, independent adjusters, experts, and other vendors in the claim-handling processes.
• Assists Claim Manager in identifying exposures and recommends solutions.
• Must understand laws and regulations governing Property and Casualty claims in the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico; informs changes to the team.
• Interacts with law department on significant cases and updates field operations personnel on claim status.
• Supervises outside vendors retained for investigations, cost containment, expert witnesses, and litigation management.
