Responsibilities

• Investigates and adjusts claims, directs outside counsel and vendors.
• Identifies exposures and recommends solutions to Claims Manager.
• Ensures compliance with laws governing P&C claims in US, Canada, Puerto Rico.
• Alerts changes in laws that impact Ryder’s liability program.
• Interacts with field operations, legal counsel, customers, carriers, and claimants.
• Supervises vendors to ensure proper handling and costs.
• Routinely coordinates with carriers and reinsurers on high-threshold files.
• Assists Claims Manager when needed and supports team on technical issues.
• Sets reserves based on file developments and probable payout.
• Investigates and resolves complex, high-exposure claims against Ryder.
