Job summary

MSIG USA is hiring a claims adjuster to handle moderately complex assignments with timely investigations, settlements, and subrogation when needed. You will work within delegated authority and ensure compliance with MSMM guidelines and state regulations.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of claims experience, strong negotiation skills, and familiarity with NY or VA claims handling requirements. Hybrid/Remote options may apply as part of our flexible work environment.

Qualifications

• Strong negotiation and settlement skills.
• Ability to verify coverage and set reserves.
• Proficient in claims handling and investigations.
• Knowledge of state regulations, NY or VA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and assign new claims; determine investigation needs.
• Identify coverage issues and determine indemnity requirements.
• Conduct thorough investigations and prepare case analyses.
• Recommend reserve changes and supervise settlements within authority.
• Maintain detailed claim diaries and compliant documentation.
• Coordinate defense or subrogation as required by policy and procedures.
• Communicate with insureds, brokers, and clients throughout the process.
