Job summary

Collective Efforts Llc in Pittsburgh is seeking a senior Civil/Environmental Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join our team. You will manage projects in water resources and transportation for major regional infrastructure efforts.

The role focuses on proposal development, design, permits, and QA/QC, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and collaborate in a dynamic office and hybrid work setup. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or higher in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Must hold current state license or be willing to obtain
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Attention to details, time management, and organization
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • AutoCAD and/or MicroStation competency
  • Experience with site grading, site design and permitting
  • HEC-RAS, HydroCAD or other water resource programs experience
  • Fluent with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Flexible work from home options available.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare technical and cost proposals
  • Design basic municipal infrastructure projects such as site development plans, earthwork and contouring, sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, drainage plans
  • Prepare permit applications
  • Prepare design packages and assist with construction bid documents, reviewing submittals, and cost estimates
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and scope of work in a team atmosphere and mentor junior staff
  • Provide QA/QC on project deliverables
