Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants seeks an Experienced Civil / Water Resources Engineer or Scientist in our Oakland or Walnut Creek, CA offices to support municipal stormwater, GSI, LID, and resiliency projects.

You will conduct hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, prepare design deliverables, and coordinate with clients and agencies for permitting. 7+ years' relevant experience and CA licensure or plan to obtain are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, water resources engineering, natural resources science, or a closely related field (required).
• Advanced degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, water resources engineering, natural resources science, or a closely related field (preferred).
• Professional registration (P.E., P.G., CPESC, CPSWQ) or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop civil and water resources engineering plans, specifications, estimates, technical memoranda, and basis-of-design documentation for municipal stormwater, drainage, GSI, LID, and resiliency projects.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, storm drain capacity evaluations, stormwater quality infrastructure sizing, and assessments of flooding/drainage conditions.
• Prepare and review construction drawings, specifications, engineer's estimates, schedules, and design deliverables at conceptual through final design milestones.
• Support stormwater NPDES permit implementation, MRP compliance, stormwater control plan reviews, and O&M plans for municipal clients.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, subcontractors, vendors, internal teams, and regulatory stakeholders to support project execution and permitting.
• Drive personal and company vehicles to client sites and offices as needed.
