Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or closely related field (required)
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Professional registration (P.E., P.G., CPESC, CPSWQ) or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe (preferred)
  • At least 5 years of experience in civil engineering, water resources, municipal stormwater, green infrastructure, or environmental consulting (required)
  • Experience designing or managing green stormwater infrastructure, LID, drainage improvements, or urban greening projects (preferred)
  • Knowledge of California stormwater regulations, NPDES/MRP, and related plans (preferred)
  • Excellent technical writing, verbal communication, and organizational skills (required)
  • Travel to client facilities or project sites as needed (required)

Responsibilities

  • Develop civil and water resources engineering plans, specifications, estimates, technical memoranda, and basis-of-design documentation for municipal stormwater, drainage, GSI, LID, and resiliency projects.
  • Perform and support hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, storm drain capacity evaluations, and drainage condition assessments.
  • Prepare and review construction drawings, technical specifications, schedules, and design deliverables at various milestones.
  • Support NPDES permit implementation, MRP compliance, and review packages for municipal clients.
  • Conduct field investigations related to drainage facilities, ADA compliance, utility conflicts, GSI performance, and retrofit feasibility.
  • Coordinate with clients, agencies, subcontractors, vendors, and regulatory stakeholders for project execution and permitting.
  • Manage task- and project-level scope, schedule, budget, deliverables, QA/QC, and RFI/submittal documentation.
  • Assist with feasibility studies and grant-funded stormwater quality improvement projects; develop conceptual designs and funding materials.
  • Assist with construction management, SWPPP monitoring, HSE planning, vendor coordination, and long-term performance monitoring.
  • Travel as needed to client sites and project locations.
