Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants is seeking a Water Resources Engineer or Scientist to join our Oakland or Walnut Creek, California office. You will work on municipal stormwater, green infrastructure, and urban drainage projects, delivering planning through design and implementation.

The ideal candidate holds a civil/environmental engineering degree with 5+ years of experience, familiarity with NPDES/MRP compliance, and skills in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling using tools like HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS and ArcGIS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/environmental fields (required).
• 5+ years in civil/water resources or related consulting (required).
• California stormwater/regulations familiarity (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop plans, specs, estimates for municipal stormwater and GSI projects.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and assessments.
• Prepare construction drawings and design deliverables.
• Support NPDES/MRP compliance and permit reviews.
• Coordinate with clients and regulators to support project delivery.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, QA/QC for multiple projects.
