Job summary

LK Jordan is seeking an experienced Civil Utility Project Manager to lead sitework and underground utility construction projects in the North West Houston area. The role balances office planning with field leadership across water, sewer, storm, and fire line installations.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and multi-site activities, interpreting civil drawings and specifications while coordinating with field crews, engineers, and inspectors to ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing civil/sitework or utility projects.
• Hands-on experience with wet utilities (water, sanitary sewer, storm drain, fire lines).
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and profiles.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, and multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with MS Project and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil/sitework projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Review and interpret civil drawings, utility plans, profiles, and specifications.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and cost forecasts.
• Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, engineers, and inspectors.
• Oversee utility installation including water, sewer, storm, and fire systems.
• Track material procurement, deliveries, and vendor coordination.
• Lead project meetings and maintain communication with stakeholders.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Ensure safety standards compliance including trenching and excavation.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and final project closeout.
