Job summary

KPFF Special Projects Division seeks a Senior Civil Transportation Engineer in Long Beach, CA. The role focuses on complex roadway and transportation improvements on design-build and design-bid-build projects, with leadership in design, project management, and client service.

You will collaborate with teams across disciplines, mentor junior staff, and contribute to regulatory compliance and project success with a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of civil design experience with a CA PE or reciprocity.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Civil3D required.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil design and development of transportation projects and design-build initiatives.
• Coordinate with teams on waterfront, industrial, and comprehensive roadway improvements.
• Assess risks and develop mitigation strategies for complex projects.
• Ensure regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare roadway/transportation design documents and specifications.
• Mentor staff and manage timelines, budgets, and resources.
