Blattner in Minnesota is seeking a Principal Engineer – Civil & Structures to provide technical leadership across projects, review complex civil and structural plans, and ensure alignment with company standards from proposal through project completion. You will mentor engineers and drive design improvements.

The role requires a BS in civil, mechanical, or structural engineering, PE licensure, 10+ years of leadership in energy or construction, and up to 15% travel.

Qualifications

• BS in civil, mechanical, or structural engineering from ABET-accredited college.
• Professional Engineering licensure (PE) upon hire, ideally civil/mechanical/structural.
• At least 10 years of engineering leadership experience in energy or construction (civil, structural, foundation, utilities, power generation).
• Position is estimated to require travel up to 15% of the time, subject to fluctuations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safe utility scale designs compliant with safety regulations.
• Ensures designs comply with local, state, international building codes and company best practices.
• Communicates clearly with leadership, management, and technical teams.
